Kobudo is a weapon based martial art that consists of traditional Okinawan farmyard and shipyard tools. Our Kobudo kata are handed down to us through the Shinpo Matayoshi lineage as taught by Seikichi Odo, the late Grandmaster of Okinawan Kenpo. Traditional Okinawan Kobudo is somewhat difficult to come by in the West and we are therefore honored to include these kata in our curriculum.
Karate & Kobudo mutually compliment one another and gives the practitioner a full appreciation of the Okinawan Martial Art experience and further augments the practitioner's connection between Body, Mind, and Spirit.
